At least 3 of the main characters are played by Brits.

That being said, their bad fake southern accents aren't really any worse than fake southern accents done by yankees.

True enough. Other ridiculous things that show that Hollywood doesn't have a clue about the South:

1) Show is set in Georgia, but there are very few black people.

2) Show is in Georgia, and guns are hard to find AND few people know how to use them. They actually had multiple episodes where the characters debated whether everyone should have a gun or not.

3) Very few people even attempt a southern accent, and for the ones that do, they suck.
