The kinds of things that statisticians can measure, such as family income or parents' education, are not the crucial things. The family's attitude toward education and toward life can make all the difference.

This explains why success in homeschooling doesn't correlate with income or parents' education. The educational materials are available, including low-cost or free (public library): what's needed is the will.

Well said FRiend! I know you home schooled your kids, our daughter home schooled her three kids and it's worked out very well.
