Mandeville, LA Its the reasons why you might want to speak up after a self-defense shooting, and more, this week on Tom Gresham's Gun Talk® Radio, the original nationally-syndicated radio talk show about guns and the shooting sports.
The Armed Citizens' Legal Defense Network was born from President Marty Hayes lengthy background as a firearms instructor mixing with his pursuit of a law degree. After graduation in 2007, Hayes formed the Network to help citizens navigate the system in the aftermath of a self-defense shooting. He visits Gun Talk this Sunday to discuss why its important to talk with law enforcement directly after a shooting, contrary to the popular belief that one should remain silent without an attorney present. For more, check out three articles from the Networks website: http://www.armedcitizensnetwork.org/unintended-consequences-of-silence, http://www.armedcitizensnetwork.org/3-most-common-post-shooting-errors, and http://www.armedcitizensnetwork.org/you-have-the-right-to-remain-silent.
Time to go dark.

FReepmail to get On/Off the Guntalk Pinglist
Hiya my
Howdy Dave.
Howdy, mylife! Thanks for the Ping!
Hey there CH.
Wish I could find the ammo to fill the cans!
Very nice. Wish I could afford as many cans as it would take to house my large ammo stockpile, for the 7 calibers.
I’m just using exact-fitting, heavy-duty cardboard boxes, with pre-printed 4”x6” Avery Labels on each. Even the few cans I have for .45cal FMJs have Avery Labels on ‘em. If I could start over 11yrs ago, I’d lay-in a huge supply of .50cal BMG ammo cans, back when they were cheaper.
I just looked at the Facebook page for that gun shop in Illinois that’s raffling the AR. I might just send in $20. If nothing else, it will help the local Little League!
Yeah I know, I haven’t been shooting much at all lately. I’m just trying to keep what I have.
Brand new cans are going for 14 bucks around here. The last ones I got weren’t even stenciled.
If I was still in Des Moines (Drake University ‘67-’71), I’d bring a load of extras by for you. I’ve been stockpiling for 11yrs, much to the ridicule and laughter of so-called friends, who kept a few boxes on-hand. Now, they’re scared shitless and begging for some. I only sell choice Firearms and extra Ammo to Family, who didn’t mock me.
It’s a small world! I was in Des Moines for a year and a half (65-66). Went to high school at Valley High in West Des Moines.
Geez, my employer is sponsoring a couple teams for a sporting clays charity event for April 5.
My task is to go round up 1,000 rounds of ammo for 2-5 man teams, about 100 rounds/shooter. BTW, I’ve got 3 women signed.
I found a small number of ar-15s at a pawn shop / gun store. They were selling a $850 bushmaster for $1700.
If you can spare it, do it.
30cal or 50cal? My 30cal can from BSA days in the 50s & 60s was badly rusted, and it took me 2+ days to restore it. I keep small bills cash in it, in the massive Cannon gunsafe.
Do you have a link for the new cans? Are they sold in quantity?
