*Excessive focus on social issues to the detriment of hard economic/political ones. They should not of course be abandoned completely since it’s still necessary to get the votes of the South and other areas.

You are apparently lost. This is a conservative site. We do not compromise on Social Issues, ever. You need to find the Libertarian site, because Freepers, or at least Conservative Freepers, will never agree with your opinion on this issue.

Oh joy, yet another uneducated Kool-Aid drinker who thinks libertarians believe in a society where people can walk around naked and fornicate with sheep in public.

And the key word here is “excessive”. Talk about social issues but don’t believe that they will propel the GOP to a majority.

Allowing larger government means we always lose on social issues. The main focus must be reducing the federal government.
