Getting a CCW is not if you live in certain areas, in some areas it is very easy to get a CCW, I happen to have one, my brother had one when he was alive and many of my friends have them. The county we live in is a Pro-gun county, very conservative as is Eldorado County and Calaveras county.

Yep, there are many onerous laws in CA about firearms but getting one isn't a problem. We are not NY city.
