pal I am from the blew state of Maryland
By party registration I have nothing to fight with or for
Every time I see one of those DC “taxation without representation” license plates I want to paste over a sticker saying “ “MD Republican- Taxation with Democrat Representation Sucks Too”
a liberal republican here is called a loo-ser - like Bob Ehrlich and Michael Steele)
conservative republicans only exist in the game preserve known as the Commonwealth of Virginny and even there, RINO mutation becoming dominant species in NoVa
I choose to take my fight to the killing grounds of select congressonal races in far flung states where Tea Party Candidates have a shot
The GOP died in 1932 and there hasn’t been a Republican president since who wasn’t a Democrat-lite and has done anything worth rejoicing over.
Yes I also sense there is a deep undercurrent of no longer trusting the motives, of the GOP.
Whether that changes into real change, or simply a splintering of the party into a useless mess, I do not know.
I advocate real change. A return of American manufacturing NOW from China, and a cease to all deficit spending by law. I so far seem to be in a distinct minority about those positions.
But something is happening. What remains to be seen.
Ted Cruz is the only authentic conservative of the new crop. The rest can’t be trusted. Cruz will be blackmailed and targeted for destruction not only by the democratic party, but by long knives within his own party.
I would also like to see manufacturing come back to America. I’m not totally on board with the “Club for Growth” because their emphasis on Expanding trade freedom (free trade).I’m also trying to figure out how Social Conservatives fit in with the “Club for Growth”.
Bozell did say Ryan was a nice man, but wants him to come up with a stricter budget. The only thing is, a tough budget is not going to pass.
btw, I love Bozell, and recommend folks visit his websites frequently.
I especially liked this part:
Bozell Blasts GOP Leaders In CPAC Speech (don’t fund Obamacare, and more)
“John Boehner, Eric Cantor, and Kevin McCarthy: You said all the right things to conservatives to propel the GOP back to the majority and you to the top three leadership positions in the House.
‘You, like virtually every single other Republican elected to Congress solemnly vowed to rid us of Obamacare, which you can do simply by refusing to fund it. Why haven’t you done so?
“While we’re at it... when the Secretary of HHS decrees that we should be forced to pay for the murder of babies, why don’t you decree that Americans are no longer going to pay for HHS? What of all the other oppressive, and in the case of Planned Parenthood, evil organizations immorally funded by our tax dollars? What of the utterly useless agencies like NPR, and PBS, and Legal Services, and the NEA and so many others you solemnly pledged to put out of our misery?
“You’ve done nothing for over two years but give us excuses and more commitments that tomorrow, yes tomorrow, you’ll honor your promises. Gentlemen, where promises are concerned, you are not what you promised to be.
“Do you want to restore your reputations as conservative leaders? All you need to do is honor your promises. They were good ones. Watch what happens next. You’ll be heroes.”
