In a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) today, Media Research Center Pres. Brent Bozell blasted Republican leaders for their lack of conservative behavior.

In particular, Bozell rebuked Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) for his budget, Gov. Haley Barbour for his barbs against conservatives, and House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) for funding Obamacare:

Fake Conservatives are politicians first. They lie. They promise actions only until elected. Once elected/re-elected they renege on their promises.

Enough! No more lies or falsehoods from Boehner, Ryan, Barbour, Cantor, McCarthy or their ilk. I will loudly denounce those who have reneged or their election promises. This includes "The Architect" Ropve who may be the biggest liar of them all. Starting now, if they do not mean it, they better not say it!

Come a year from now, all these same people will be in leadership positions still making the same claims all the while throwing conservatives and conservatism under the bus. Still shaking my head as to how they re-elected Boehner after his disastrous results his first term.

“we” can only get rid of these people by defunding the think tanks and PACs that support them

My spouse has re-registered as an independent and I plan to do the same

No more GOP-registered voter
If we vote GOP it will be from outside of the RINO party

These “GOP leaders” need to wake up some day, look behind themselves, and realize we aren't there

Bozell isn't much better. This is my problem with CPAC. Six months ago, all the speakers were rah-rah in support of mediocrity. Now, they're fightin mad. Hooey.

. Rand Paul or bust. Why? He's not establishment. Rubio is.

I would re-register as an independant, but the problem with that is here in Florida, registered as an independant you cannot vote for Republican in primaries, and so I switched back to Republican in 2004. Even seeing CPAC from this year, it seems too late for the GOP, and a split needs to happen to separate the conservatives from the RINOs, weasels, appeasers, criminals, sheisters and closet homos that have tarnished the brand image of the Republican party over the last 30 years.

In our state, there is no party registration but if there was I would be independent. I’ve declared publicly I will no longer support the GOP. I tell them when they call and when they write. I’m done with the party. I will support individual candidates who espouse conservative and states rights beliefs.

If my state had that I would register as a democrat and become an insurgent! A loose cannon democrat!

After all, who “picked” McCain, and then Romney, for us?
It wasnt the popular vote, it was percentages and
key states, and MEDia hype, and last 4 years it was Romney’s Mormon cabal using its wealth to destroy other better people

If we can’t fix our party we could consider squatting in or occupying another one

Me too. Although I am registered as a pubbie so I can vote in primaries (gotta get rid of linda!), I'm party neutral. Vote for the person, not the party. Amen!

Withholding money from liberal Republicans is one thing, but re-registering “Independent” is cutting off your nose to spite your face because you will have no voice any longer in fighting liberal Republicans in primaries.

You can only support such conservative candidates for the most part, depending on your state, WITHIN Republican primaries.

By the time the primaries get to my state the media has already picked the winner. I’m changing to independence too.

LET ME PUT IT STRAIGHT: 1) The good news is that he named names. 2) The bad news is that he’s not an elected official. The fix is STILL in.

2016: NO 2016 wannabe in our party is any different than Paul/Rubio on the immigration. Therefore, the 2014 mid-terms should concentrate on a national effort to ‘BUILD THE DAM FENCE’ and call it comprehensive. That will give them cover.

“House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) for funding Obamacare”

The GOP has been funding it for 3 years now and no signs of quitting. They are all in this scam together full of Kabuki Theater.

I tell them when they call and when they write.

The call makers don't really care, they are getting paid to call a list.
Mailed back opinion polls go to a desk where donations are processed. Any poll included along with your well thought out rant, are put in the trash without being read. Money is the reason for that mailing, not your opinion.

How would that help registering as a democrat insurgent? Still wouldn’t be able to vote in the Republican primaries, so the RINOs would still slip in like they always have.

my choice in GOP primaries has been worth bupkiss for the past 8 years. Look at the job the RINOs and Mormons did on Palin Perry (admttedly some self-inflicted) and Santorum etc

getting out of the GOP gets me off the junk mail list and sends a message my “vote” seems to have lost

If I am a registered democrat maybe my mail to congress critters of this blew state get some attention and maybe I get interviewed for the news...he he he

ya’ll have fun with those GOP primaries especially if they are 2008 and 2012 redux.

Send my regards to Jeb Bush and Karl Rove. Not.
