To: Alas Babylon!

Morning AB....

Thank you for doing this thread and thank you all for your astute contributions.

Sang at church this morning. Priest, I dunno, he had to walk with cane, could not recess or process, struggled to climb steps to altar.

I pray every day for this priest as he...well he has some issues. I tell God that I pray for my priest but I’m a little nonplused by it.

I mean, isn’t a priest like, one of HIS people?

Anyway, so we have a new pope and there is joy.

So the wonderful Chris Matthews, he who is going to hell immediately after death for lying and promoting that liar in the White House....gets on Meet the Depressed, and in this discussion about our new pope, that nothing-burger twerp goes on and on about the Catholic sex scandal.

Hey, Chris, THAT CASE HAS BEEN SETTLED! Victims have been quite well compensated.

The entire pension plan for the lay people was used to pay the victims. Soon the Wilmington Diocese is embarking on a capital campaign to replenish those coffers.

I can promise Chris Matthews spitty zero burger that the capital campaign will be a resounding success and there are more Catholics today than there were ten years ago.

Further, I can testify there is no safer place for a child than in the Catholic church today, Lord there rules within rules.

EVERY employee dealing with kids is thoroughly investigated. There must be a certifiedadult with the children. No adult must ever be alone with a child, much less a priest.

The church paid the victims. They accepted culpability. Good Lord this was over fifty years ago!

How small can you be to get on a TV show supposed to discuss the new pope and spend all your time pissing on the church for ancient history. ?

Hell is hot, Chris. You are going there, you drunken souse.

Some of the comment regarding the new Pope give me hope for the Catholic Church. Comments like withholding communion to professing Catholic politicians who publicly support abortion is new and welcome return to Catholicism. A little fire and brimstone are in order.

The likes of the former Boston Cardinal who did nothing about the Kennedys will indeed meet the devil. For these are the people who sanctioned or looked the other way during the 70’s church sex problems.
