Watching Boehner on ABC now. Boehner agrees with the President that we don't have an immediate debt/deficit problem. He says we don't know how long we have to solve it--one to four years maybe. What an idiot. The MSM will jump on this. Boehner is the last person who should be negotiating with the Dems. He is part of the Washington establishment. He is not interested in cutting spending.

If you follow Boehener its now unlike him to contradict what he says on the following day.

I would much rather Paul Ryan were doing the negotiating. Do you think that will happen?

I wish I had the confidence you have in Ryan. I see him as part of the Establishment. He voted for TARP. He joined Cantor and McCarthy in writing their book, "Young Guns." Ryan is also an amnesty supporter.

Ryan's latest budget plan is better than the first as he now seeks to balance the budget in 10 years. I fear that some sort of compromise or "Grand Bargain" with the Dems will increase taxes and kick the "savings" down the road. It will have some ameliorative impact on the short term deficits, but will not solve our long term problems with entitlements. Tax and spend will prevail.
