Actually, some of them have, in a big way. I think that many of the objections to our PRESENT nuclear power are valid - but we’ve learned a lot in 60 years, and if that was applied, nuclear would be safe, clean, and available very long-term (possibly hundreds of years), during which time SOMEONE is going to figure out fusion power.
My previous post in no way implies any support for the goof who is the subject of this thread.
Unless under the pressure of war, the government has an extremely poor track record on throwing money at a problem and producing good, or sometimes any, results.
