Technically you are correct I think. He is the first one to choose the name of Francis.

Speaking of the name he chose someone in the room I chat said that that he probably likes Frank Sinatra and that is why he chose that name. I replied that I doubt he did, and that most likely chose it after Saint Francis of Assisi, which made the most sense. As Popes choose their names from Saints.
