I’m sure Paul Laxalt would have strangled him with his bare hands if he were alive today. What about the father of Monica Lewinsky? He blamed Ken Starr. I’m sure the offspring fella is well adjusted. That doesn’t make it ok.
I read through some of them and it is beyond stupid. “he’s a hypocrite.” Well, yeah, he is. So are they - they’ve never failed to live up to their own standards? And one of the reasons some of them say are because he voted for Clinton to be removed from office in the impeachment trial. Clinton was not on trial for infidelity, first of all, and second of all, even if Domenici had done the same things Clinton did that has no bearing on Clinton’s innocence or guilt. Their comments are absurd...but that is what being a liberal pretty much requires - checking reality at the door.
Perhaps strangest is this line from the article:
“Recently information has come to me that this sacred situation might be twisted ....”.
“Sacred” does not seem to be the right word.

Grew up 14 miles from him. Know both of his parents.
His family beat mine here by 3 years. My ancestors came to this county in 1889.
Well anyway...while so many are bashing the Senator there is a real human being involved in this - and based on this bio looks like he turned out okay and is a stand up guy - decorated Navy Veteran.
I hear ya, but let’s face it, there is a whole lot we don’t know, especially, what were Michelle’s wishes in the matter.
Don’t you think that schizophrenia should be covered as an illness like any other? I witnessed the daughter’s abrupt change - it was tragic. It was an illness no different than cancer or heart failure.
They talk the talk.
Everything is “God, Family, Country”.

There is more honor in a whore house than in the White House or the Halls of Congress.
I think this is very common in DC circles.

But who is to say if Domenici was compromised for a long time by insiders pulling strings and threatening exposure.
