Another well-done—and disturbing—story on this ‘phenomenon’ sweeping America. For what it’s worth, this was unheard of in my day (I am 65). I suspect one of the drivers of this is two generations of unwed black women having babies for the sole purpose of living large on welfare checks that are tied to the number of dependents they have. I have heard of 15 year old black teen females in school openly discussing how many babies they plan to have and how much they will collect on welfare.

The babies ‘grow up’ to be the feral youth that you have so consistently and fearlessly reported on. The grandmothers in these families used to be the rock of morality that kept some semblance of decency in the family unit, but that was three generations ago and most are long gone.

Feral youth. Hmm. That term is apropos. It fits the situation. Ironically, in our society today, we are subsidising generation after generation of "feral youth". They grow up and breed more of the same and train them to live the same way.

Most notable about the term? There is no reference to race, nor should there be. But the culture is certainly more prevelant in the predominantly black communities. It's impossible to educate those without guidance or counter productive guidance.
