President Obama has done a lot of talking the last year about Americans paying their fair share of taxes. Apparently he means, Do as I say, not as my staff does. A new report from the Internal Revenue Service has just revealed that 40 of Obama's White House aides owe their employer, the federal government, a total of $333,485 in back taxes. This is the third straight year that the chief executive of the United States has been unable to get his own staff members to keep up with a citizen's legal income tax obligations. to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars in back taxes owed. All this while Obama has made such rhetorical hay about corporations and the wealthy paying their fair share.

What gets me about that pic is the word “honorable” above her name. Maybe they can give me an example.

Hillary Clinton is a peculiar phenomenon. After honing her marxist views, she hooked up with an upstart politician wannabe with a taste for nose-candy and skirt chasing, and latched herself on the body politic like a lamprey eel on a passing steelhead. The Hitler comparisons can get old, but since when have we seen a politician who so tenaciously kept their eye on the power-prize since old Adolf?

Well she did display for the fashion industry how black works with green.

Hey did you ever see the 60 minutes piece with her and Obama last month with Steve Kroft interviewing them? I actually got nauseous watching it. “So when did you two decide you liked each other?”

imagine what noise would be made if 40 aides to any republican pres owed this much in back taxes, while the pres spends trillions we don’t have and millions on personal vacations. and the gas prices doubled his first term.

This report is issued every year. In President Bush's last year, 50 employees owed ~$800,000 in back taxes (link).

I was going to defend them by saying that, “Just because they owe it, doesn’t mean they’re off the hook. The IRS will collect...with interest.”

But then I think back to the other administration scofflaws who got a pass, and now my confidence is shaken...

This really pisses me off since I did my taxes two weeks ago. I owed just a little, I didn’t expect a return, but I got the bad deed out of the way. FUBO

They are just getting with the fed gov employee program, i.e. taxes are for the makers not takers, :

“...nearly 100,000 civilian federal employees owe the IRS $962 million in back taxes. Rep. Chaffetz Utah (R) thinks they should pay up or be fired.

Chaffetz has introduced a bill that calls for the federal government to “ferret out” civilian employees who have “seriously delinquent tax debt” and prevent the hiring of other tax delinquents.

More than 3 percent of the 2.8 million federal civilian employees owed the Treasury unpaid federal income taxes in 2008, according to the IRS. If you include retirees and military service members, the numbers go from nearly 100,000 up to 276,000 current or former workers who owe $3 billion in taxes.”

I worked for the IRS (a long time ago) and if you didn't pay your taxes you were fired. No ifs and or buts.

But you've got to cut these aides some slack. They were probably Community Agitators just like their hero and this is the most money they've ever made, and they just didn't know that they would actually have to pay taxes on it. They've had a free ride their entire lives and now they gotta pay? No way!
