You make a good point about the insane consumption rate needed to consume this much ammo, even in a war. The last two Fridays I’ve spent an hour in line at my local Gander Mountain trying to score some .22 LR. If DHS is buying up this much ammo, IMHO, it’s not doing it even for possible, illegal, domestic combat operations; rather, it’s buying this much ammo to create a massive shortage of the basic components essential to make all calibers of civilian ammo. After all, what good is a car without gas to run it?
The fed is buying up this much ammo because they KNOW there is a date certain coming when they will no longer be able to be resupplied for a few years. Their planned collapse of America as we know it has warning signs we ought not ignore. This is one of them.
