The Colorado gun debate is heating up. Companies are threatening to move, rape victims are ridiculed for testifying in committee hearings that they desire guns for self-protection, and potential victims are instructed to rely on rape whistles and call boxes.
Now the state’s sheriffs have entered the fray, expressing support for the Second Amendment, and according to El Paso County Sheriff Terry Maketa, the officers are getting some blowback from the Democratic Party.
In an interview Saturday morning with Jeff Crank on 740 AM KVOR radio, Maketa said 30 Colorado sheriffs went to the state capitol to speak out against restrictive gun control legislation.

Yes. That really rubs me the wrong way too. It is liberal propaganda that has permeated our society to the point that it is commonly accepted. I point it out often, IT IS THE DEMOCRAT party, NOT the democratic party. Although interestingly they are more often than not the hypocritic party.
The cause and effect here can’t just disappear into the ether. First they insult veterans and now they try to blackmail county Sheriffs. The gun forums, vets forums and now the LEO forums must be buzzing like mad with activity.

At least that many Coloradans are going to be ‘overnight’ felons come Tuesday morning. How many are going to be willing to take another step back to get back on the ‘law-abiding’ side of the line? Not me.

The Dem Senate President, John Morse, vehemently denied the allegation, giving much credence to the fact that it actually did happen.

I’m not too familiar with CO sheriffs, but if the counties pay them, who are these clowns in the state legislature trying to threaten with loss of pay? Sheriffs do not work for the state of CO, they work for their respective counties. Time to put these bastards behind bars for threats and extortion.

I remember Pelosi or some other Libtard Nutcase getting all upset because a Republican used the Term “Democrat Party” instead of “Democratic Party”.

The sheriffs should investigate the hell out of the extortion email. Perp walk the suspects to a sheriff’s department for questioning, in front of all the cameras.
Then say that they cannot comment about an ongoing investigation of alleged political extortion. Let the press name those who are brought in for questioning, and someone provide pictures of these lucky Democrats.
Let’s play the same game they do, but only smarter. And if someone published the home addresses and license plate numbers of those involved in the extortion effect, so be it. After all, it is public information (i.e. the phone book, etc), just like the names of registered gun owners in New York is.
Two can play at this game, but we have to be more informed, have a better message, and do it legally, unlike the Democrats.
