It’s heads or tails whether the ROKs (South Koreans) or the Israelis have the toughest army in the world, man-for-man. The ROKs have a first world economy while the avarage person in the DPRK (North Korea) is either starving or near starvation. Stunted, malnourished people usually don’t make good soldiers.

(I'll raise $2million for Sarah Palin's presidential run. What'll you do?)

When I got there the first time the ROKs had just shot one of their army dudes. He fell asleep on guard duty at the ammo dump and the Lt found him, didn’t even wake him up.

(I could eat it raw, but why do that when I have a fire.)

kind of like when we went into Iraq the first time? However, the Korean war was fought against Chinese soldiers, right? So could this actually be China pushing the buttons?

That's the impression I've always gotten from friends who served in South Korea. My sister dated a South Korean immigrant who was a sniper. He said they train like Army Rangers and have been doing it for 60 years. Their military technology is largely on par with ours as well.
