I strongly doubt there will be any shock. Author Tom Wolfe hilariously describes what he calls "Fu&k Patois" in his scathing look at current university life in his novel "I Am Charlotte Simmons."

From what I hear in common conversation and see on TV daily , "Fu&k Patois" has been adopted as the normal level of speech in everyday America. When not used outright it's been replaced by less direct euphemisms like "friggin'," "frackin'," etc.

“Author Tom Wolfe...”

I may have to read this book. I only wish I had the ability and determination to write about this deterioration of our language, from the street corner to the White House. There most certainly is a whole book in there, wouldn’t you say?
