The “one a month” rule only applies to Pistols purchased in CA. Long Guns are exempt, FOR NOW.
We still have that dandy 10 day waiting period though. Just bought myself a Ruger 10-22 Takedown. Counting the days until I can pick it up.
I’m sure if I had walked out of the Store with it WHEN I PAID FOR IT, I probably would have robbed a Bank or done something even worse.
Thinking back to the good old days when my Dad gave me a .22 Semi Auto Rifle (bought at Sears) and a .410 Single Shotgun when I was eight years old.
All these years later, and with all the guns I have owned during that time, I have yet to murder as many people as Ted Kennedy did in his Oldsmobile.
Well, I DO hope you've COOLED OFF!!!! /sarcasm!!!!!!
Get THIS! Gramps and I were going to change ownership, just the paperwork mind you, on a handgun that had been in the house for many many many years. We had to literally take it to the dealer, leave it there for 10 days so I COULD COOL OFF....before it could be transferred.
We decided it was too stupid to do, so we left the thing in his name. It has yet to shoot anyone or anything.
As with yours...
