It’s like the horse meat controversy ... who cares, fur is fur and meat is meat. Just because they are considered pets in some countries doesn’t mean they should be excluded from other uses. How many of us have pet fish and yet we eat fish ...

Of course false advertising is another thing.

This is absolutely horrific.

“Skinned alive to make fake Uggs: Horrific footage reveals slow, sickening deaths of raccoon dogs”

“Pitiful: A bloodied and dazed creature is shown still alive but helpless on a pile of corpses”

“Agony: A raccoon dog is beaten to stop it struggling so it can be skinned alive”

It is illegal to import items made of dog or cat fur into the US.

It should not be difficult to devise a biochemical assay to reveal whether items are made of dog, cat, or a more acceptable animal.

I could open a business doing that...

Some men hunt for sport,
Others hunt for food,
The only thing I’m hunting for,
Is an outfit that looks good...

See my vest, see my vest,
Made from real gorilla chest,
Feel this sweater, there’s no better,
Than authentic Irish setter.

See this hat, ‘twas my cat,
My evening wear - vampire bat,
These white slippers are albino
African endangered rhino.

Grizzly bear underwear,
Turtles’ necks, I’ve got my share,
Beret of poodle, on my noodle
It shall rest,

Try my red robin suit,
It comes one breast or two,
See my vest, see my vest,
See my vest.

Like my loafers? Former gophers -
It was that or skin my chauffeurs,
But a greyhound fur tuxedo
Would be best,

So let’s prepare these dogs,
Kill two for matching clogs,
See my vest, see my vest,
Oh please, won’t you see my vest

On the one hand, liberals love animals and hate fur. Even more, they hate the abuse of dogs.

OTOH China is America’s enemy so they can’t be criticized by liberals.

It’s hard to be a liberal.

Marc Jacobs. Overpriced trash. Now with comes with Fido hair to jack up the price by $150.

Never liked anything he came out with, too over rated.

I do know that without Oprah and her “favorite things”, Marc Jacobs would not be as popular as he seems to be. Maybe if Jacobs decided he wanted to make his items out of cocker spaniels it would get her attention. Cow.

Where are the Hollywood “activists” to enlighten us on this issue? Darrel Hanna should be squealing about these poor dogs but her fat arse is sitting in a tree somewhere in Berkeley.

There's a song about racooon dogs that was popular in Japan in the 1930's--Shō-jō-ji No Tanuki Bayashi. Eartha Kitt also recorded this tune in 1957.

The translated lyrics are as follows:

At Shō-jō-ji Temple
The garden is bright on the moonlit night.
Let’s come and together,
We are raccoon dog friends,
Keep up with the Priest,
Let’s come and beat on the belly drum together.

At Shō-jō-ji Temple,
The bush clover is in full bloom on the moonlit night.
How merry and playful!
