Gerry Marsden’s group, Gerry & the Pacemakers, had been around since 1961. Thanks to the first wave of the British Invasion, their hits from that year got their first hearing in the US in 1964. Now with the second wave, Americans and Brits caught up with the band. This theme from the movie of the same name came in at #9 on March 9, 1965.
