You posted this on another FR thread ...

“The bad translation from Indonesie Bhassa is based on misuse of the Bhassa to English part of the English to Bhassa dictionary written by Ed Schmidalltallings”

Check the name. Is it correct?

Is it “Schmidel de Straubing.”

The man's name is a sentence ~ part of it's in ladino if you look closely. i go by the spelling used on the cover of his first edition ~ i believe his son the clothing designer used a different spelling that was simply more pronounceable in Bhassa.

interesting guy ~ several races in his lines of lineage ~ lots of history, and I would not rule out any number of spellings for his name. Last time he saw Sukarno he'd gotten employed by the CIA and had been sent right back to Jakarta to our embassy. Before that Sukarno had told him there are asli and buken asli, and as a buken asli he no longer belonged in the indonesian popular revolution against the Dutch.
