I know he did the right thing, but it’s kind of uncomfortable to think that Paul is being cheered on by the likes of Rand Paul and Code Pink.
I guess he accomplished the task of driving a wedge between Obama and parts of his base.

I think the republicans have to choose their battles very carefully. They get negative press no matter what they do, the last thing they needed was to be considered obstructionists in all three nominations. There was no way they could have effectively blocked Kerry. Even though they raised viable questions, Hagel made a fool of himself and Obama for nominating him. I think they have saved the bullets for Brennan, we will see.
