Sen. Rand Paul just offered to end his filibuster and allow a vote on CIA nominee John Brennan if he could get a vote tomorrow on a non-binding resolution regarding drone killing of US citizens on US soil. But Assistant Majority Leader Dick Durbin objected to allowing a vote on the resolution. So Paul resumed speaking.
Paul's resolution said it was the sense of the Senate that "the use of drones to execute or target American citizens on American soil who pose no imminent threat clearly violates Constitutional rights" of due process.

This one is backfiring on the dems. Even dems on Twitter (like the ACLU) are standing with Rand on this.
Apparently the demonrats want to be able to assasinate any american they want, anytime they want, for any reason they want.
And I was supposed to fear Bush?
These cowards needed to be forever exiled from this country.
Every damn last one of them.
Bump
Lemme see if I got this right—It’s a crime for an American to threaten the president’s life, right?
But the president says he should be able to kill anyone of us? This isn’t America. It’s 16th century England ...
I think it's more like *contracting a hit on any one of us* at his whim.
The liberals want the US Mili8tary to be able to operate on US soil with due process.
Drones is just one tool used by the military.
They would have no issues using Seal snipers to kill us.
They must be arrested immediately.
The Secret service needs to be arrested by several Sheriffs for allowing this.
There’s always the hope that work will set us free. It said so when we came in.
Well, that says it all. Dems in congress fully support the killing, without due process, of US citizens on US soil with military drone strikes. There is no privacy on the internet. The govt. can track everything we say. If some faceless bureaucrat reads something and decides you sound like a terrorist threat, and tells the preezy,,,the preezy can snap his fingers and have you killed. Peoples should be scared crapless if they see a drone in the sky.
And presumably their justification for this is a desire to keep us safe. It reminds me of the same bogus reasons they advance for gun-grabbing.
Reminding me further of two things: in the movie ‘The Godfather’ ‘Michael Corleone’ being advised of a location for a meeting with Barzini where he “would be safe,” and Ben Franklin on security and liberty.
I can top that even those whackos Code Pink are standing with Rand Paul
Whats the problem, america said this is alright when they elected Zero to another term..
They said it was OK to doing a boatload of other things as well..
That is (( IF )) was elected.. voter fraud was massive..
AND republicans have said squat.. about it..
Basically it was a bipartisan vote.. i.e. IF he was indeed elected at all..
O’Reilly seems to have no problem with the voter fraud..
OR Rush... Mark Levin is another story.. in Ameritopia..
Don’t worry, the decision on who gets droned will be carefully made by some troika a 1000 miles away in DC. Nothing to worry about. /sarc
Yes. It takes one person. We have the conservative power. We have many fine conservatives out there that should be in office. Fight for them. Thank you Senator Rand Paul and Senator Ted Cruz. Thank you Dr. Ben Carson and Herman Cane, Sarah Palin and all the others who have shown the courage to fight these monsters and to lead. Obama and his administration are mere mortals. They are not Kings and Gods. The monsters behind these monsters are the same. There is nothing magical about them. They are losers.
Get behind the real winners. We are all winners when we seek what is right and do what is right.

***Sounds reasonable to me.

Senator Wyden (D) stood with Rand Paul today. He took the podium earlier. I did call his office and thanked them for support. What an extraordinary day. Thank you C-Span!
