better half and I were actually at the race.....before the Thunderbirds roared over, the announcer made a point to say this was the LAST time because of the sequestration.....no kidding....even the announcers have gotten the word from the rat machine...

the race really was uneventful....we pulled for Kyle Busch but glad he was at least in the top 10...don't know why he got penalized since we didn't have those radio ear phones thingamagig....

surprising how many people travel for Nascar...at least two different couples from Canada...one couple from North Carolina...people from my state of Washington and Oregone....people of different sizes, shapes, lots of kids, a few blacks and seemed like lots of hispanics too...lots of women love nascar...Las Vegas hotels were jammed with Nascar fans this weekend....

one downer was the "shuttle" system....we waited for close to two hrs and then another hr back to the strip, and there were thousands behind us...

shouldn't complain...the shuttle tickets cost up to $45 a piece, and we got them free along with our free race tickets....(it pays to build up comps while losing...lol)
