Can’t you just buy an over-length steel line and add bends/loops to use up the extra length?

Yeah..you can. But on a small car like the old Saturn sometimes they end up all over the place.

FWIW on an old car like our Saturn I’ll just zip tie the new lines to the old ones. Years ago in PA that wouldn’t have passed inspection.

Of course you can, New brake lines come in several sizes and lengths but he’ll need a power brake bleeder and a compatible fluid to do the job properly...
