Finally, a Lib is NOT talking about an inanimate gun & addressing, however weakly, the real problem - violence.
We need to move this conversation away from guns & onto the thugs who use guns or otherwise to hurt people. The crime of rape is a good way to do that, as it often occurs without an armed assailant.
Like Zerlina, the lib's anti-gun message stumbles badly when confronted with women who want any available means to stop a rape & possible murder. The right of self defense is glaring in this crime, even to women who are often anti-gun. I suspect they are far more anti-rape than anti-gun.
The real problem is violent criminals - always has been. Strict enforcement of criminal laws, stiff jail terms for violent criminals, & a well armed society is the solution.
