The name "Barack" has two meanings, depending upon whom the one who holds the name bows to. If he bows to any other but the Living LORD, then the name means cursed. If he bows himself to The LORD, then the name holds the meaning of a blessing. Looks pretty obvious which meaning this Barack holds.
Let's hope that Israel figures this out, for as you said, The LORD is not being too subtle about this.
