“So he was suspended for declining to speak to the police”

What has that got to do with the school? I would love to see the school rule on that. Paging my Attorney, please pick up the RED phone!!!

Also, what actions were taken against the other students? or did that talk to the police???

I have sent one more e-mail to Tracy Perkins, Principal
Cypress Lake High School, and I will update/post additional information when any more facts are received.

The incident took place on a school bus, so clearly the school has an interest in it. His refusal to talk to police I believe extended to not providing an accounting of what happened.

That may or may not be a valid suspension act under their code of conduct, but schools to not maintain a 5th amendment environment. They will likely punish you if you refuse to talk about an incident in which you were involved.
