I would love to -see- a beautiful four-stack steamer with racehorse lines. I would certainly pay a reasonable fee to tour one in port.

But for a two week voyage? Give me one of those ugly new floating hotels with hundreds of reasonably priced big, comfortable outside cabins, every single time.

That's what I think they should do. Keep it in port, like the Queen Mary, and let people come in and tour it. That way it could be truly identical, including not enough lifeboats. It would be a great tourist attraction. They could have special events where people dress up or eat the same meals served on the original, and so forth. But no one would be stuck on it for two weeks or have to worry about it sinking.
