Is it only me, or is this Daily Mail article badly written and confusing because of this?

Yep. One day I was trying to read a scientific report for work, and I could not understand it. I tried again a couple of days later. I figured it was over my head. Tried a third time, and realized that I wasn’t stupid, it was very badly written.
