Yeah, probably.
The way Magpul is playing the customer relations game right now is masterful.
“This turn of events is not fair to good law enforcement officers in these ban states.”
Inquiring minds want to know, just where do you find “good” law enforcement officers today? Sure there are some, like these good and decent sheriffs who are standing up against the tyranny of our government in DC. But just look at the A$$hole who runs the Chicago PD. He’s the role model for the “modern LEO.”
Personally, I don’t trust any of them as far as I could throw one of them and I am way past retirement age! They will use your family dog for target practice and you too if you give them any $hit!
Bill you ignorant slut. I can guarantee you that if Magpul wants to move it won't cost them a penny.
I think that the majority of rank and file patrol officers and detectives are good, dedicated people. Some of their leadership is also good. However, the heads of most big city police departments are political creatures of their democrat mayors. The police union leaders are also very much beholden to the democrat party. I don’t fault the average cop in any of these cities. I think most of them try to do the best job they can in a very difficult line of work. I think the owner of Magpul recognizes this and will make his product available to individual officers as soon as he can get a policy in place that ensures that these individual officers are reminded of their duty to the average citizen, irrespective to whatever garbage their police chiefs and union bosses try to say. I think Magpul’s strategy is very clever — to go on record supporting the rights of ordinary Americans and to remind those in positions of authority, specifically beat cops, that they have a duty to protect the Constitution despite how their bosses try to confuse the issue.
On the other hand, Colorado is trying to make many of their products illegal.
That's going to cost them a bundle too.
And the cost of any move is ameliorated to some extent if they move to a state with significantly lower taxes.
Liberals always seem surprised when anyone disagrees with their attempts to dictate conduct and take away more freedoms. They are perfectly willing to give up their freedoms to leftist dictators and are downright befuddled when others don't want to join their flock of sheeple.
I think MAGPUL should move now, regardless of whether the bill passes or not. If this bill fails, they will just draft another or tax the business out of existence, why operate a business in an environment that is hostile to your existence.
Move now it will be much cheaper than later.
Baretta has threatened to move out of Maryland if the new gun bills in Maryland are passed. About 400 jobs I think.
Yes, this is home.
One of my ancestors was born here during the Republic of Texas.
Others came here during Reconstruction, they were burned out of AL for resisting then. The abuses of that time are still an unwritten tradition here. There are many similarities of the abuse of the authority of the central government today.
The lefties can forget domination of Texas. Not going to happen. Too many rednecks, oilies, farmers, ranchers, outdoorsmen, construction workers and old farts to ever pull it off. Too many weapons. Too many non-city dwellers.
Obozo will be gone before we are.
I spent 20 years in the Air Force, protecting the country from all enemies foreign and domestic. Little did I realize that it would be the domestic enemies who would take us down the primrose path to destruction. You are right, they are utter scum.
You are correct sir. This will not end traditionally or peacefully, and I fear it too.
My family and I lived in Colo. Springs back in the late 70’s and early 80’s. At that time, the real estate market was booming as Kalifornia people were flocking in by the thousands every day. Today, it is hard to recogonize the once conservative state of Colorado and more so, it’s politics. I predicted that the political climate woould be changing back then and have to say, “It sure has”. Sad!
Take look at Oregon and Washington states as they too are becoming more and more like “Kalifornia”
I have been saying essentially the same thing since obama took power. The time gets shorter each day when we are going to have shit or get off the pot.
In 2012 the Democrats learned how to legally steal an election. Barring a miracle, anyone who believes that obama will voluntarily leave office when his term is up is only deluding themselves.
Not one step back.
I'll remember that when talking about Lee Harvey Oswald.
I think you're right. Regarding what will emerge, if the path we're on means that we'll need to water the liberty tree to make it grow, then I like the legend of Washington's prophecy.
I have read that the prophecy of George Washington's third vision of America was ruled invalid by Snopes, but it's one of those things that "feels right" when I read it.
“Dont know why Magpul chose Boulder in the first place....wait, yes I do. Its beautiful there. However, it is a political liberal hell-hole.”
Actually, magPul is in Boulder County, not City of Boulder, and like all parts of the U.S., the rural parts of Boulder County are Red and the urban parts are blue. This is true in every state. Unfortunately, the urban dwellers are multiplying faster than the rural ones, and the urban takers are multiplying WAY faster than the urban makers.
Thanks for the clarification.
We have the same situation here where the liberal-run city is slowly expanding into the more conservative surrounding county. Pretty soon, the city will swallow the county and the tax liabilities will multiply as the city council will become the defacto county government.
