How does one march against austerity?

Does one bitch and moan? And who is to blame? And how will the problem be solved?

Abolish austerity!!

Coming soon to a concentrated Democrat parasite nest (”city”) near you!

All across Europe, the parasites outnumber the hosts.
Congratulations to Europe’s version of America’s Democrats.

(psssst.... Hey Portugese! The socialists you elected to keep you fat and happy have run out of other people’s money.)

Dear Portugal,

Your government has run out of other people’s money.
Earn your own now. Or starve.

Sincerely,

Other People

What is the destination of their march? The poorhouse? Who are they hoping to impress? The Germans? After the march their leaders no doubt told them that the Germans will once again subsidize their consumption. Here in America Obama has great faith in China and Bernacke. Soon it will be apparent that those who consume more than they produce cannot be saved by endless subsidies, financial gimmickry and the endless printing of currency.

"...teachers, healthcare workers and pensioners..."

Like protesters and rioters against austerity measures in other defaulting countries in southern Europe. Political/regulator class folks try to distract from the fact that it will be them here, too. That's an enormous number of outrageous salaries from the recirculating debt.

Portugal was granted a financial rescue package worth 78 billion euros ($103 billion) in May 2011, in exchange for a pledge to straighten out its finances via austerity measures and economic reforms.

They should have cut them off in 2011. Kicking the can down the road just makes the inevitable blowup bigger.

Marching and rallying for something less than mediocrity.

Socialism is a loser’s way of life.

Rich well managed economies bailing out weak poorly managed ecnonomies, with quid pro quo to “get your shite in order.”

Ungrateful Portugal gives finger to Germans, says for the Germans to work more weeks per year, work to an older age than the Portuguese.

Like in the US where civilians will work forever, so government employees can retire at 50 with full pay, platinum health care, etc.

At the end of the day, it ain’t good.

They should spend their way to prosperity, like us.

My sister’s all for “free healthcare.”

I’m exasperated.

It’s going to take a complete collapse to reboot the system, whether or not people learn from it.
