The Obama administration should send ammunition to the Syrian rebels, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) said Wednesday.
The comments from a potential Republican front-runner in 2016 suggest both parties are coalescing around a more forceful U.S. role in the two-year-old civil war.

Shame on you.
Man, all of my “potential” conservative presidential candidates are dropping like flies.
Two sides of the same coin.
And we are the ones who keep getting flipped.
Yes, just like Bismarck said of the Balkans: “Not worth the bones of a single Pomeranian grenadier”.
Not particularly interested in getting involved in any Syrian nonsense (or anywhere else for that matter) when the USA is currently in the state of cultural, moral and economic decomposition.
Americans who want to get involved should raise private funds and send them to Syria.
"If there's one thing about Washington, DC, that I cannot stomach, it's all the damned neo-cons!"
I'm so glad Rubio cannot qualify to be President.
The Libyan opposition was Terrorists
The Syrian opposition is Terrorists
Every Arab is a Terrorist.
I would have great conflict in supporting ANY foreign war while the democrats are in power, and the rest of those corrupt bastards in DC..... certainly not anything to do with Syria.
Jheeeeeeze!
These bad guys are fighting MORE bad guys!
Take your Mehhhhiccccans and STAY OUT OF IT!
cheap shot? not at all.
are both of his parents natural US citizens?
and al Qaeda is intermixed with the “rebels”.
helping al Qaeda did not work out well the last
two times. [unless you
support crucifixions in Egypt and MANPADS held
by al Qaeda just about everywhere.]
Dear Senator Rubio:
Your stock just keeps dropping in my household.
Not one penny for Syria. It’s an absolute tragedy what is happening over there, but we have already seen what is happening in Egypt and Libya, and what little we know about the goals of the Syrian rebels is not comforting.
And, not to put too fine a point on it, Syria has long been one of Russia’s closest allies in the region. Add in the fact that the Chinese have been investing signifcantly in the country, and this is likely to get very sticky, very quickly.
However, that does mean I will agree with him in all things.
Syria is in the midst of a civil war. We should not be involved. If we can play a role in keeping outside interference, I could agree - depending.
I believe that’s the first paraphrase from The Lost Boys I’ve ever seen on FR.
How about providing the taxpayers with some ammunition? I’ll take 9MM, .308 and some 12 GA. please.
IMO its clear now there will be no earthly solution to our problems from DC.
Apparently there isn't a single person there with the mettle, motives or principles. If they have any going in the system rejects them like a virus.
Dammit! Haven’t we learned enough about involving ourselves in Mideast Madness! Egypt? Libya? HELLO! Let these scumbags fight it out. Regardless of who wins, the are going to blame us for whatever anyway...
Not me. This is just the cherry on top of the cake, as far as I’m concerned. Rubio’s been a non-starter for me ever since he began flapping his lips about amnesty.
