Time is running out to sign up for North Carolinas only statewide gathering for teaching and empowering conservatives: the Conservative Leadership Conference on March 1-2 at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley hotel in the state capital.

Is this really conservative "leadership?"
Did you mean bloggers?
I assume you meant "couldn't get in"? Do you mean that because they are bloggers they couldn't buy tickets and go? Or that they couldn't get a freebee pass as a member of the media? Not a wise guy question, because I have no idea how media access works for these things, except that I saw a media sign up on the site.
Bloggers would be included, but so would free lancers of any kind, and O’Keefe, for example, who is not a paid journalist. Malkin would not either.
Now, due to their name recognition, they would likely be exempted from the rules, I am pointing out how silly the rules are - and how this group that now features Malkin and O Keefe is not interested in credentialling the next Malkin or O Keefe.
Just read the bios of the speakers - not a single person who has served in the military...
Yes, I meant “couldn’t get in” - and on the question: yes, anyone can buy tickets to such an event (though this one is sold out), but media are given “credentials” which are a pass into the event, and normally also includes some added access etc. The very career path that Malkin and O Keefe took to prominence is not welcomed at this event, whose credentials are handled by an old dinosaur whose career spans 50 years in academia and in newspaper work. I doubt this guy even sees the irony of his absurd rules.
That would have to be unhappy coincidence...this organization is not anti military at all.
I fear the Progressive RINO Slime have been slowly infiltrating the Conservative Movement and are going to keep encroaching upon the Tea party people as well...
The Superbowl does not allow every aspiring player onto the field.
Some have made it, others have not.
As usual, you drove by to be an ass and so you missed the point. I am not talking about “on the field” - but it’s you, so I won’t waste my time. Everyone else got the point.
Well, that's a problem. This group is definitey "professional conservatives" who haven't been in the real world in their lives, or not lately anyway. They've been around for a long time and really been irrelevant - and now they're riding an anti Obama wave and sold out their event for the first time ever. But they're still run by "professionals" who don't really understand what it means to be a conservative in the real world. The guy handling the media has a career in academics and old school newspaper work - and has no understanding of the media that has made the conservative movement run in the past 5-8 years or so. I mean, by his own rules, Andrew Breitbart would be exempted.
The point seems to be that you are butthurt by the fact
that some bloggers aren’t getting press credentials.
Well, they aren’t press. It’s not hard to grasp.
Any homeless retard that can recognize a public
library can start himself a blog. That kind of
marginalizes the whole group.
This is the BIG LEAGUE they are playing in. Stay in the minors til you get called up for doing something AMAZING like they have!!
Not at all, your problem is when you’re “butt hurt” you need head ache medicine...and too obtuse to even see the irony that everyone else recongized immediately. (look the word up, I’m sure you haven’t a clue....)
You missed the irony too - of having speakers who made it through citizen journalism but not allowing citizen journalist to cover the event. I was not talking about the speakers.....jeez....reading comprehension much? No, apparently not.
how much are tickets to the event?
There are numerous levels, and everything is a sell out. While 2 FR folks missed the irony and the point totally - it still amazes me that the “professional conservatariat - those who make their living off of pretending to “be conservative” as in the conservative think tanks, fund raising groups, etc, are so blind. One day before O Keefe broke the ACORN videos, and one day before Michelle Malkin sold Hot Air and became somewhat rich, and famous, they would not have scored press creds for this gig - and yet today, their names are being used to sell tickets (quite successfully I might add) - and no future O Keefes or Malkins or whoever...are welcome.
This is the same professional class that brought us Karl Rove, and all the Romney consultants, and so on....it’s called gig protection and nothing else.
So it's sort of like...Free Republic?
You NEWBIES have NO respect for your elders.....get some manners.
Ah yes, the predictable last refuge of those with little else....and I mean that in the nicest possible way and with all due respect of course...:)
