I don’t think it is a small thing that Woodward spoke out on this before cuts, or reductions in rt of growth, even go into effect. I reckon his integrity trumps his political inclinations. Rare bird these days.
His peers, and many of them doubtless admirerers, must be tormented by his move.
Love to be a fly on the wall in the white house; this Woodward slapdown is damaging to them and there must be much running about in circles screaming and shouting. I suspect a cigarette might be sneaked now and again, too. And still more desperate plotting while knowing in the back of their wicked little minds they may well have already overplayed their crisis hand. Not much in the way of political deserts these days, but I am savoring this dish.
if woodward had the same balls he had with nixon, he’d release te email unredacted. i’d freaking file charges, threatening reporters.
