When I was a Freshman at the Univ. of California the rule was first year u had to live in the dorms. Periodically the Resident Advisor required all tenants to attend some stupid indoctrination thing.
One time it was HOMO stuff:
They went around the big circle, and each had to introduce themselves, saying their name, “I’m xx and I’m GAY”.
It was to break down stereotypes, or something.
MIND CONTROL.
My son was “exposed” to this same kind of gay indoctrination crap when he was a freshman at Va. Tech in 2001.
Gaijin, That sounds exactly like an essay by Wendy Shalit that my son just read for college and wrote about: “A Ladies’ Room of One’s Own.”
Written in 1995 about just what you experienced - “I’m XXX and I’m gay/Latina/Whatever” - but from the point of view of a young conservative woman in a very liberal, ultra-PC college. It’s excellent.
The entire essay is here - it’s in TXT file - sorry about that, but it’s the only full version I could find.
