Hamm’s wasn’t that bad compared to say, Utica Club, Schmidt’s, or Stroh’s.

I’ll even throw in PBR, Schaeffer, and the reformulated Schiltz.

There was also Grand Prize (3 quarts for 99 cents in late 1950s), Pearl, Blatz, Jax (I worked with a PHD Chemist who was part owner with his two sisters) and Cold Brau ($2.98 a case in the late 1950s when I was a young teen). ...Hard to believe that we drank that stuff, but pennies counted back then and gas was around 17 cents a gallon.

I remember beer like Blatz selling for $1.39 a six pack (steel cans, of course).
