I thought designers loaned clothes to her sometimes, because of the publicity. If that was actually taxpayer money, I would rather not have paid for it.
I will say, though, she looked a lot nicer than she has on many other occasions.

Even if the hypocrite paid for the dress (Most likely loaned), she would of had to do the purchase using her own/joint bank account. If the dress was a gift then Boehner/IRS better start investigating. Ditto if appropriated funds for the White House were used to purchase the thing. The Obamas may be arrogant, but they sure as heck are not stupid.
