It’s interesting that proponents want the Department of Peace to work domestically as well as internationally. That would make it the Department of Peace Everywhere.

This idea has unrealized potential. Given its mission, we could begin by folding the State Department, HHS, HUD, the U.S. Institute for Peace, and myriad other agencies into the new Department. I mean, really, there’s nothing new here other than the name.

So let’s consolidate all the relevant agencies under the banner of DOPE and cut aggregate funding by 50% in view of the efficiencies, synergies, and economies of scale generated by the new Department.

Oh, no, no, no. You're missing the point here. This is more people control, bigger government, more government union employees, more democrat union dues donations. This bill is in ADDITION to all the other agencies.
They didn't say anything about any cutting. No way. They don't even want to discuss reducing. OMG. Are you kidding?

Union membership country wide is waaaay down. The union donations, therefore, are waaaay down. Those union members have to be replaced, so the money will still come rolling in. They can't force the private sector to unionize, so the only thing they can do is create more agencies for government union members. "It's the union donations, stupid."

And while we are at it, we defund the United Nations, but send someone there to represent the US. Maybe Hillary.
