Maybe if you have a Nielsen box they do. I don’t think it matters otherwise.
With these high end DVR’s from Comcast(I have 3)it would be stupid not to monitor what each one is tuned to or recording...if you think Nielsen is the only one’s data mining you are a bit naive. My guess they do it on a much larger scale than Nielsen.
