Who cares?
"...Te'o's sexuality is still a concern for NFL teams. "
It would explain why he felt compelled to lie about a relationship with a girl when he had never met her (though he claimed he had early on).
Homosexuals are NOT welcomed in the locker rooms...and for good reason.
“But if he’s going to get caught in a scandal and then tell a lot of lies, that’s kinda secondary.”
He did believe it, and he believed it because it (she) was the object of his desire (imagination).
Other than that I wouldn't speculate.
He is one of the following.
1. Very Stupid
2. Extremely Naive
3. Gay
Of those three, NFL teams would likely prefer the third.
All this hype over his sexuality and the non-existant girlfriend masks the fact that Alabama made him look like what he is. A media over hyped Notre Dame Player who wouldn’t make the third team in the SEC. I would be surprised if he is picked in the first 5 rounds.
He has no evidence.
Brendon Ayanbadejo of the Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens and Chris Kluwe of the Vikings are outspoken advocates of special rights for fashionable groups.
Doesn't seem to matter to their teammates or employers, who only care about winning games and making money.
If Te'o can win games, no one in a decision-making capacity cares.
If he plays in the NFL like he played against Alabama, he will be unemployable even if he were as enthusiastically heterosexual as Antonio Cromartie.
Yup.
If he were White...or for that matter, Black....we'd never have heard about him.

“Doesn’t seem to matter to their teammates or employers, who only care about winning games and making money.”
Winning and making money should be the only thing that matters to a team or a private business.
Yup. And Chris Culliver got raked over the coals for saying out loud what most NFL players think.
Actually, private businesses should be allowed to prioritize whatever they want to prioritize.
Many private businesses choose to forgo certain opportunities and remain smaller because they have moral priorities that override their financial ones.
‘It’s Raining Football Players’ bump....
