Sounds very similar to what the Dims have done in Colorado over the past decade. The missing (read: unspoken) element in this equation is the media. In Colorado, these interest groups bombarded Republicans with accusations of scandal, misconduct and indifference, which were breathlessly reported by the media. It’s been enough to keep the GOP on the defensive, while giving the Dims enough momentum to win control of the governorship and the state legislature.

McCrory and the NC GOP cannot let this continue. They ought to turn the tables, expose this unholy alliance and investigate them for possible misconduct. Republican victories in the Tarheel State in 2010 and 2012 stunned the Dims; they’re pulling out all the stops to regain power. And if the GOP doesn’t act, they could find themselves in the same position as their counterparts in Colorado.

“They ought to turn the tables, expose this unholy alliance and investigate them for possible misconduct.”

Republicans in power don’t fight back. Look at George W. Bush. He sat there like a fool and never responded while the media destroyed him and Soros poured money into building the grassroots organizations that turned out the vote for Obama and lobby for the progressive state.
