I am biased?. You make the Germans sound like lil bunny rabbits, assailed by the big nasty British and French. I assume we forced the Germans to invade Belgium then, did we?.

If you think the US forces saved the allies in 1917-18, your knowledge of WW1 is dreadful.

You DO know that the US army in WW1 had no tanks, planes and heavy artillery of its own, and had to use British and French equipment?. A fact even superpatriot historian Stephen Ambrose had to admit in his last book. You DO know that the Royal Navy had to carry HALF of all US troops from America to Britain in 1917, and ALL American troops from England to France?.

Britain had a mild recession in the 30’s?. Tell that to the people still living today who lived through it.

The Germans made their mistakes. Namely by writing a blank cheque for the Austrians. The guarantee of Belgium's borders was simply a ruse for the British to start WWI. Could the war have ended without the yanks? Maybe. But it would have gone on longer and probably without the outcome that was so satisfactory to the Brits and French, who made huge gains at Germany's expense.

It is documented in British history periodicals that Britain had a recession in 1930 but they were well out of it by 1933.

The Serbs were probably more well treated by the Austrians than they would be by any other power. The Austrians constantly tried to appease their minorities. The uprising by the Serbs was a ruse for the aggressive Serbian nation to get its chance to have Russia behind it so it could carve a nice little piece of Austria-Hungary. It's a neat little trick to flood a host country with your peoples and then claim self rule once they outnumber the locals in that region. The Russians took the hook. The French were still bitter over the Germans, and the British were looking to end the arms race as the winners.
