No, the Holocaust in the UK is very much taught, in fact I would argue much more so than pupils in North America. In fact, I would say the Holocaust is much more covered in the UK (education, TV, books) overall than North America.
Thousands of British schoolchildren travel to Europe every year to visit Auschwitz. And Holocaust Day is well covered by the UK media: tv, radio, newspapers. And there are commemorations all over the UK.
I can assure you that the ‘dont teach the Holocaust’ story is complete bunkum.
Cromwell died. And his son’s ‘rule’ 1658-1660 was so unpopular that the monarchy was brought back by public request. The Puritan rule was muchj more oppressive than the monarchy had been.
