I don’t remember hearing the family complain when her voice (actual recordings) was used in the TV specials on 9/11.
Shameful that her family is trying to cash in on what is clearly a public domain recording.
Get your apologies from Al Qaeda.
Milking the $y$tem. SHOW ME DA MONEY!!!
The Foundation is here:
I note that the President/CEO is Cathie Ong-Herrera.
I’m divided on this one. On the one hand, this was a terrible blow to her family. On the other hand, that message was public, and was a part of history. And I don’t know what percentage of donations go to the people who run the foundation.
Fine if people want to donate, but no one should be compelled to do so.
A Marine was photographed bleeding out and died. His family was assured by AP that the image would not be released. It was. No money involved. Just honor.
As an American in NYC on 9/11, I would like to say it was a shared experence for ALL AMERICANS where ever we where that day and her family needs to get over what ever issues they have. 2 wars in two countries for 10 years, Ms. Ong family isnt owed anything by anyone.
As to the movie, I wasnt going to watch it. I figured any which way it was filmed it would have made the killing of a dirt bag in front of his family make us look bad. I feared it would make the communist weasel president look like some kind of gutsy leader with balls.....I was wrong, I watched the movie and feel it was done in taste and a just the facts style.
I can appreciate their objection, yet how long has this movie been out? Why bring this up now?
