Yeah, it went up to $4.12 in June of 2008 thanks to the rats who had both houses and after President Bush lifted the ban on the Outer Continental Shelf exploration the average price per gal went down to $1.61 per gal average. In some areas it was even lower.

So don't tell me that President Bush did nothing about it. You was obviously sleeping the entire time

1. July 14th, 2008: Bush lifts presidential moratorium on Outer Continental Shelf exploration.

2. Regular gas price drops to $3.65 by September 8, (an 11% drop), then rebounds to $3.84 the following week (down less than 7% from peak)

3. That same week in September, 2008 the financial crisis starts.

4. The price of gasoline drops 70% by the end of December due to a dramatic fall in demand caused by the financial crisis.

So don't tell me that President Bush did nothing about it.

I didn't say Bush did nothing about the price of gas. I said he did nothing about heading off the financial crisis that was building during his entire term. I guess that did help with the price of gas - temporarily.
