Good point! If we get that much for $44B, then let’s leave that $44B in place and cut $2T every where else!
LOL, exactly
Just a comparative “fart in the wind”, taking the 0scumbag-threatened $85 TRILLION into consideration. I still know defense contractors who are prepping for the worst.
In the 90’s we instituted a “luxury tax” on yachts and the job losses in that industry was staggering. Now we get to attack private airplanes and jets. Yep, it’ll turn out differently this time!
It must really be wonderful being a moronic liberal, where every morning history starts fresh and there is no need to rely on facts or science. Given that this seems to be their approach to life, I really wonder why they are so miserable all the time!
gulfstream renamed it g280 because of ‘cultural sensitivity’ - which i never understood - is g250 some kinda muzzie slur?
in any event - there are fewer than a dozen g280s delivered - its only recently been certified
He always has Drudge, Politico etc to prep from, these days, if FR is down.
cessna ‘won’ the whore off for chinese ‘investment’ - but at the cost of manufacturing planes in china
gulfstream is in a precarious period right now - they invested tons of money building two new planes - it takes about a decade to bring a new plane to market - both were certified recently and they are trying to get them out there to recover that investment
Gulfstream is a larger employer of “good jobs” in the manufacturing sector in the US. We better hammer and sickle their a$$es!
Here is some info from Gulfstream’s site:
“In November 2010, Gulfstream announced an expansion of its Savannah facilities through a $500-million, seven-year plan to ensure that the company is well-positioned to meet future demand for business-jet aircraft and support services. The growth resulted in 1,000 additional Gulfstream jobs, an increase of more than 15 percent.”
“In addition to the Savannah expansion, Gulfstream’s sites in Westfield, Mass., and Luton, England, also grew in 2011. In October, Gulfstream announced an expansion of its service center at the Barnes Regional Airport in Westfield, Mass. that will result in 100 additional Gulfstream jobs, a nearly 80 percent increase over the size of Gulfstream’s Westfield workforce.”
“Today, Gulfstream employs more than 11,500 people at 11 major locations: Savannah, Ga.; Appleton, Wis.; Brunswick, Ga.; Dallas; Las Vegas, Nev.; Lincoln, Calif.; London, England; Long Beach, Calif.; Mexicali, Mexico; Westfield, Mass.; and West Palm Beach, Fla. With more than 50 successful years in the industry, Gulfstream is The World Standard® in business aviation. Gulfstream Aerospace looks forward to the future to the completion of the Master Plan, the deliveries of the first G280 and G650, and beyond.”
they are adding employees at appleton now too
gulfstream has general dynamics behind it - which helps
they are building the g650 here in savannah (they are my fbo’s next door neighbor) - beautiful sight seeing those machines lined up waiting for delivery - the faa granted them a partial certification of some kind that allowed them to begin building planes before the plane was certified - they NEEDED to get a few out the door in 2012 - walmart was one of the 2012 deliveries
the g280 is made in israel but the completions are done at love field in dallas
They sound good so szey must be destroyed, comrad!
it would hit these guys hard

fly to city to pick up vet + $100
fly vet to destination + $100
fly back home + $100
most pilots agree to the return flight too - which would cost the plane owner and ADDITIONAL $600 to fly the mission

That’s a bonus for the marxists. They get to punish a US based business that employs american manufacturing labor
AND get to stealthily harm Veterans support groups! All the while they get to blame the “evil corporation” for laying off workers because all they want is to earn a profit AND claim “see, those veteran support groups were only in it for the money, if they really cared about Veterans then these fees would not have caused them to lower their service flights!”
Marxists are evil, pure and simple.
And that is precisely why I removed myself from the team that gathers care package items for every holiday. We send them to anyone that someone knows from my employer and that are serving in combat zones, plus we send a ton to the hospital in Afgh. However, I dropped off that group because I am not going to work with people that I know voted for this marxist bastard and I will not take donations from others that claim to support the troops, but still voted for Dear leader.
Sorry for the rant, but those that claim to support the troops and then still pulled the Obama lever piss me off. They clearly have no understanding of the pure hatred that Obama has for our serving men and women.
Barnes is a nice little Airport...
the vac is my favorite - tsa is brutal to those guys with chunks of metal inside and outside their bodies - and the airlines are not always very hospitable
so far, vac has remained relatively small and under the radar - which is the best thing they could do - VERY few rules and VERY flexible
most of those corporate angel flight groups have so many rules that it is impossible to fly a mission - they REQUIRE the pax to BUY A BACKUP COMMERCIAL FLIGHT - if they can afford that - who needs the corporate plane
vac flights are ALL about the pax - sole reason for the mission - vet or family - we have NEVER had a bad experience on any mission
vac leave it all up to the pilots - if you want to haul a vet aboard on your back, you do what you need to to get them there - haul pets - its all up to you
That is because you got it wrong.

Thanks. Wouldn’t be the first time.

Looks like a escort service site; heh.
I don’t know what it is. But I won’t buy anything from there.
