to embrace gay conservatives

Uh, no thanks. On so many levels, starting with the imagery. Not interested in getting them into the tent, so to speak, to move the conversation their way. How many homosexual conservatives are there who insist on waving a banner about it? Now that we're on the subject, how many homosexuals are there at all?

There's no way to make the world safe for homosexuality. It's a problem of conflicted, nutty people, many of whom are very likable. (And many of whom aren't.) To make the whole slate of psychological problems associated with sodomy into your identity? I don't care if you're a Democrat or Republican. To bring that stuff into the national conversation about the destiny of our society and our republic—isn't that on a par with interrupting a speech on economics to talk about the bowel movement you had this morning? Sorry about your family and moral problems, seriously. We all have some—maybe not those problems, but some. Your intimate issues are yours, and please don't talk about them in public. It's narcissistic and crazy. It's obscenity.

The love that dared not speak its name is the love that won’t ever shut the hell up these days.

Bump.

Excellent reply.

Not very many. Queers: "We are the 3.4%."
