I just letters to all three of my congress critters.
You have to use their templates, since email addresses are rarer than hens teeth.
My Rep’s template included 2A as a topic. The most nigh senate critters seem to be above worrying about having that as a topic.

Lot’s of people think of Gunsmithing as like a Bubba job.
That is a highly skilled field.
You have to understand Physics, Mechanics, Metallurgy and the like.
Several degrees are in order for you to be good one.
Is it an older version of adobe? I got a new one on tue/wed win-7 downloads and am holding-off on the install, for now. Seems every other one has some kind of problems. JMO.

I have been to Prescott. I does have a solid gun culture, but a 2 year degree at Yavapai community college?
No, you need to understand chemistry and a lot of stuff in depth to be a good gunsmith.
Yeah, they use templates so use their templates to rattle them back.
That said, Our Texas reps are of little concern as they will vote right most of the time, Still we need to let them know we are watching.
I write occasionally.
I think Texas is pretty solid on the 2nd amendmant.
I just updated Adobe this morning.
BTW the adobe upgrade was a tiny patch.
It took 3 seconds to download.
How much could they have effed up?

In Texas, everyone is a gunsmith. LOL.
Quite a few Preppers snatching up bricks too.
That’s way beyond my grade. I just Googled ‘top 5 gunsmithing schools’, and that’s what came-up.
I just updated mine, too, this morning, and it didn’t mess-up either.
Of the 3 FFLs I know personally, and one I occasionally work for unloading incoming shipments, none of their ‘gunsmiths’ have advanced degrees such as you mentioned, but all are very competent in metalworking, physics, chemistry etc; enough so they can do anything asked of them.
I don’t know if they take night courses at PSU, UMD or local vo-tech schools, but all can easily to do anything required to build/rebuild/modify any weapon which comes across their shop tables. Or they can quickly call-in someone who can hel with such a project.
All (but one) have been in various US Military Ordnance programs, so they’ve received training there, as well as growing-up around firearms. Their ‘title’ of *gunsmith* may be honorary; I’ll have to ask next time I’m to work.
Just guessing you’re 100% correct that major mfgrs do require advanced degrees for their personnel.

Yeah, I was thinking along the lines of design.
